Short Stories/testimonials  from past Woody & Martha puppies

“Ruka, (Rye) has turned out to be a wonderful, well-balanced, sweet dog. She had quite the shark-mouth when she was young and could be a little defiant, so I wasn’t sure how she would turn out. We did lots of training with her from day 1 as well. She’s incredibly smart, probably the smartest Aussie we’ve ever had. She has a huge vocabulary of words for commands, toys, etc. She taught herself how to open our front thumb-latch door, so we taught her how to close it after she comes inside. Her favorite thing to do is swim. She launches herself off our dock or anywhere to fetch sticks. She also has an incredible ball drive, but settles right down when the playing is done. She loves to go anywhere with us whether it’s in our car, our airplane or exploring in our Sprinter van. She loves hiking, paddleboarding, camping and playing with our next door neighbor’s mini Aussie. She gets along with all dogs and isn’t aggressive in any way even if the other dog is. She’s a bit smaller than we expected at only 45 lbs and so is her littermate Zoe (Meadow) in Colorado. We don’t mind as she’s quite “packable” for all of our adventures. One of the funniest things is that she loves to eat all kinds of wood and especially loves toilet paper. She’ll unroll the TP even to this day. We joke because her dad’s name is Woody!”

“This is our beautiful boy named Westley, his original name was Grass. He is a very energetic, happy dog. He absolutely loves to give hugs and kisses to everyone he meets. He loves to chase birds and play with our other dogs, his eyes are still the same beautiful blue they were when we got him!”

“He is such a great dog, extremely loving and cuddly. Not aggressive at all! He wants to be everyone’s best friend. The second someone comes over her is grabbing a toy, and wiggle butting his way over to them to greet them. He is also a GREAT walker. We hardly had to do much leash training, he just caught on so quickly and never pulls. I’ve NEVER had that with any of my other aussies before.
He also loves to play! We think he loves fetching balls more than walks for sure. So he can play fetch for hours, but he also loves you to chase him. Dropping the ball to you is not his favorite he wants you to come get it from him and turn it into a game. But after a few hours a playing he is ready to rest inside. He has amazing temperament and a great mix and fun and calm.
He is very much a Velcro dog. He wants to me on top of us or with us at all times, which is great for our family because we want him with us at all times as well. He is so so so loving. We’re thinking of adding another pup to the family though because he would love a friend to play with! He loves when my parents dog comes over to play”

“Bodhi drove across the country with us to Rochester, NY to enjoy the snow and nature for a year. We are next moving to down to Dallas, TX so he can enjoy the heat and become a furry cowboy! One thing I was amazed by is that he never went through an awkward-looking adolescent phase?! He has always just had GORGEOUS bones and structure to him. And his coat? Drool.
He has the sweetest temper and funniest personality. Bo is definitely a lover of people, running around with soccer balls, and peanut butter. He is the neighborhood pretty boy and we constantly receive compliments on how gorgeous he is!
He does have a bit of separation anxiety we have been working on so we have given him the nickname, “Bodhi the Brave” He is just too smart for his own good – but we love a sassy guy. We will start him on hiking trails and swimming this spring!
A recent vet visit clocked him at about 54 lbs – big boy! Super long too haha, he loves to stretch and sploot on the floor/bed”
